"It helped me keep my expressivity
I felt more comfortable and strong
to face that stage"

“When I got the cancer diagnose, to make the treatment less emotionally painful, I went to Natura Bisse’s Ricardo Fisas Foundation (at the Sant Pau Hospital) and asked their specialists for advice. I told them that the thing I was more worried about were the eyebrows, because mine are thick and I consider them one of my most defining features. The beauty specialist, Maria, told me: “go to Maribel Franco, she is the best”. So I went straight to her and, two days before the firs chemo session, she did the eyeliner and the micropigmentation under my existing eyebrow. That really worked for me, because overtime my eyebrow hairstarted falling and thanks to the micropigmentation I maintained the expressivity of my face. The hair problem I “solved” by using scarves, as I found a way of wearing them that I was comfortable with. Having the aesthetical part kind of covered, it gives you much more tranquillity, security and makes you feel better about yourself. It helps a lot, because you can focus on recovering and feeling good.”
